2019's Greatest Hits


I just wanna say what an amazing year it was for singles.  I actually came across over 250 of 'em and I'm sure that if I listened even more, it would been closer to 300.  God bless all these artists below still making great tunes despite the shrinking pile of money available to most people in the music biz. Please support them whenever you can, or at least support the artists YOU love.

I also wanna give a shout-out to the wonderful music distributors/stores/destinations whose mailing lists constantly educate me about great new music that keeps coming out, including Bleep, Boomkat, Downtown Music Gallery, Forced Exposure, Juno, Naxos, Rough Trade, Soundohm, Sounds of the Universe, Vinyl Factory. Do yourself a favor and go to Bandcamp and sign up for alerts about your favorite artists and labels too- they'll also give you some good recommendations about related music you might like too. Also, much respect to review site All Music Guide, release listings from Pause and Play.  Publications like Blurt, The Fader, Rock and Roll Globe and Aquarium Drunkard are also excellent resources.
